Movie Blockbusters-Summer '09

i haven't written in here in a minute! i have some catching up to do.i haven't been able to see many movies this year, but lets talk about the ones i have seen.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

great, great movie. waaaaaaaaaaaaay better improvement of its shitty predecessors. it was captivating, action packed, funny, and pretty bad ass. not to mention, hugh jackman's butt is pretty freaking sweet. no movie is perfect, and of course everyone is not going to like everything about it but it's okay. i liked the film. it was worth seeing in the theater and kudos to marvel for that one.

Star Trek

not much to say but... IT WAS SO FUCKING AWESOME OH MY GOD GO SEE IT! everything was marvelous: cast, cinematograhpy, music, plot, script. i have no complaints what so ever. chris pine is a great kirk! zachary quinto is the perfect spock. oh i had such a good time watching it. saw it in IMAX. oh can't wait for the dvd so i can watch it a million times.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

hands down, the best movie of the year. it was AMAZING!! my jaw was on the floor the entire time. it was such a thrill ride. made me fall in love with movies all over again. i don't want to talk to much about this one because i feel i would go into the story, but damn it was SO FUCKING AMAZING! it surprisingly had some bad language use, but it wasn't senseless cursing. it wasn't overused and beaten like a dead horse like some movies tend to do. for some reason a lot of people don't like michael bay movies. even if you don't care too much for mr. bay, this one ladies and gentleman, is just phenomenal. i am so pleased with this movie it was worth the two year wait. if i get some extra cash, i will go see it again!

i still need to see The Soloist and Terminator Salvation. i am looking forward to G.I. Joe, Public Enemies, and Inglourious Basterds.

Resident Evil - Fanatsy Movie Cast

ok, so one night i was really bored and talking to a friend about the shitty cast of the RE movies. so i decided to look for MY idea of the best cast.

now i made this list based on list and personalities of the characters these people usually portray in their films and/or tv shows. mind you one of them i picked based on looks alone because i couldn't think of anyone else for her. i have two candidates to play leon.

ok here it goes:

Neal McDonough as Albert Wesker

Josh Duhamel as Chris Redfield

Danneel Harris as Claire Redfield

Paul Walker as Leon Kennedy

Chad Michael Murray as Leon Kennedy

Maggie Q as Ada Wong

so... good so far? i think so. i'm still looking for a jill o_O. she's a tough woman to find (cast). i'm also on the look out for other possibilities for the guys and gals listed above. and other re characters that may need to placed in a movie.

see what happens when i get bored

Video Game and Comic Inspired Films

oh geeze. i just have to say right off the bat, that very few of these films are actually worth watching.

i'm gonna name a few that come to mind which will be followed by why they sucked or why they rocked my socks.

Resident Evil, Resident Evil Apocalypse, and Resident Evil Extinction:

ALL THREE ARE HORRIBLE!!! first off, i have played several of the RE games. and these movies did not due them any justice what so ever! who the fuck is this alice bitch?! why in the world would the writers of these films create some random ass character o_O. and then make her the basis of all three films. HELLO! did these people bother playing any of the games. let me throw out some key players in the RE series: Jill Valentine, Clare Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, Chris Redfield.. and several others. Jill barely had a role in RE2 the movie. they didn't even explained what happened to her in part 3. and clare's role was just retarded. and what the fuck is up with alice's mental abilities to destroy things with her mind. STUPID FUCKIN TRIOLOGY OF A BULL SHIT MOVIES.

X-Men, X-men:X2, and X-men: The Last Stand:

i'm not the biggest X-men fan, but i tell you one thing. if i made just one x-men movie i would have done the following:
1) Storm = Angela Basset. storm is tall muscular and has a demanding voice. i love Halle but she just isn't a good storm.
2) made Rougue the ostentatious, loud southern bell with that country flavor she has.
3) would not have waited to the 4 film (which is a sub story for wolverine) to include gambit in the movie
4) jubilee, cable, and bishop would have so been in this
5) Iceman would not have been a total bitch boy
6) i love sir ian but magneto was not some scrawny old man. beef the dude up.
7) cyclops is a little pussy whiped, but he also had a set of balls -_-
8) the professor would not have gone boom in the third installment.

i cant talk about this one anymore it makes me upset just thinking about it.

i'mma post more to this entry soon but now it's dinner time!

Movies to Me

i figured my first post in here should be about what movies mean to me and how they impact my life.

let me start off with saying that i love going to the theater. seeing a film on the big screen with a huge audience is amazing. the theater is my church. it's where i find religion. when i see a good movie i feel baptized. like a spirit has come over me. and i love it. but when a feature film lets me down, my usual reaction is getting pissed off. i get very frustrated and disappointed.

so movies. can't live with 'em and can't live without 'em!
